How to Use the Survey App on UniLink
The Survey app on UniLink lets you collect structured feedback and opinions from your audience through multiple-choice questions, ratings, and open-ended prompts embedded on your page.
What is the Survey App?
The Survey app is a feedback and research tool that helps you understand your audience better by gathering structured responses to specific questions. Unlike a free-form AMA, surveys guide respondents through a defined set of questions with multiple-choice answers, rating scales, or short text fields. It is perfect for product validation, audience research, content planning, customer satisfaction measurement, and community polling. Creators and businesses use the Survey app to make data-driven decisions based on real audience input.
How to Enable the Survey App
- Log in to your UniLink Dashboard
- Go to the Apps section
- Find Survey and click Enable
- Build your survey by adding questions and configuring answer types
Features and Configuration
- Multiple Question Types - Create multiple-choice, rating scale, yes/no, ranking, and open text questions in the same survey
- Survey Title and Introduction - Add a title and brief description to explain the purpose of the survey and motivate participation
- Progress Indicator - Show respondents how far through the survey they are to reduce drop-off on longer surveys
- Results Dashboard - View aggregated responses with charts and percentages directly in your UniLink dashboard
- Response Export - Download individual and aggregated responses as CSV for deeper analysis in spreadsheet tools
- Completion Incentive Message - Show a custom thank-you or reward message after submission to acknowledge participation
Best Practices
- Keep surveys under 5 questions whenever possible: completion rates drop sharply with each additional question you add
- Ask one thing per question and avoid leading questions that push respondents toward a particular answer you want to hear
- Share your survey results publicly when appropriate to show your audience that their input influenced real decisions, which builds trust
