How to Use the Blog Block on UniLink
The Blog block is a UniLink block that allows you to display a curated list of blog posts or articles on your page, linking visitors directly to your published content.
What is the Blog Block?
The Blog block turns your UniLink page into a content hub by surfacing your latest or most important articles in a clean, readable format. Each entry typically shows the article title, a thumbnail image, a short excerpt, and a link to read the full post. It is a powerful tool for content creators, marketers, coaches, and educators who regularly publish written content and want to drive traffic from their social media profiles directly to their articles.
How to Add the Blog Block to Your Page
- Log in to your UniLink Dashboard at unilink.us
- Select the page you want to edit
- Click the Add Block button (+)
- Search for or scroll to find Blog
- Click to add it to your page
How to Configure the Blog Block
The Blog block offers several settings to control how your content feed appears:
- Section Heading — Add a title above the block such as "Latest Articles," "Read My Blog," or "From the Journal."
- Article Title — Enter the title of each article you want to feature. Make it the same as or a condensed version of the actual article title.
- Thumbnail Image — Attach a cover image for each article to make the block visually engaging and help visitors identify the topic at a glance.
- Excerpt or Description — Write a short one-to-two sentence summary of the article to give visitors a preview and encourage them to click through.
- Article URL — Link each entry to the full article on your blog, website, or content platform such as Medium or Substack.
- Number of Posts to Show — Choose how many articles to display at once. Three to six entries is the standard for a clean, uncluttered look.
Best Practices for the Blog Block
- Feature your most recent or highest-performing articles rather than displaying your entire archive, which can overwhelm visitors.
- Keep excerpt text to one or two sentences — enough to spark curiosity but not so much that there is no reason to click the link.
- Use consistent thumbnail image dimensions for every entry so the block looks uniform and organized.
- Update the Blog block whenever you publish new content to keep your page current and give repeat visitors something new to explore.
- Include articles that are directly relevant to your audience on UniLink. If your page is about fitness, feature fitness articles, not unrelated topics.
