How to Use the Data Collect Block on UniLink
The Data Collect block is a UniLink block that allows you to gather information from your visitors, such as email addresses or phone numbers, directly on your page.
What is the Data Collect Block?
The Data Collect block is a lightweight lead capture tool built directly into your UniLink page. Instead of sending visitors to a separate landing page, you can collect names, emails, phone numbers, or other data right where they already are. It is ideal for creators and businesses looking to grow an email list, collect interest from potential customers, or gather contact information without any third-party tools.
How to Add the Data Collect Block to Your Page
- Log in to your UniLink Dashboard at unilink.us
- Select the page you want to edit
- Click the Add Block button (+)
- Search for or scroll to find Data Collect
- Click to add it to your page
How to Configure the Data Collect Block
The Data Collect block gives you full control over what information you request and how you receive it:
- Heading — Add a title above the form to explain what visitors are signing up for, such as "Get My Free Guide" or "Join the Waitlist."
- Fields — Choose which fields to include. Common options are Name, Email Address, and Phone Number. Only ask for what you actually need.
- Required Fields — Mark specific fields as required so visitors cannot submit the form without filling them in.
- Submit Button Text — Customize the button label to match your offer, for example "Subscribe," "Get Access," or "Notify Me."
- Success Message — Set a confirmation message that appears after a successful submission to reassure and thank the visitor.
- Data Export — Access collected submissions from your UniLink Dashboard and export them as a CSV file for use in your email platform or CRM.
Best Practices for the Data Collect Block
- Offer something in return for the submission, such as a discount code, free resource, or early access, to increase conversion rates.
- Ask for as few fields as possible. The more fields you require, the fewer people will complete the form.
- Use a specific, benefit-driven heading like "Get weekly tips on growing your audience" rather than generic text like "Subscribe."
- Place the Data Collect block near the top of your page or immediately after your strongest piece of content.
- Check your collected data regularly and export it to your email marketing tool to follow up with leads promptly.
