How to Use the Link Block on UniLink

By UniLink Jun 26, 2026 3 min read

The Link block is a UniLink block that allows you to add clickable buttons or links to any URL, sending visitors to your website, social profiles, products, or any destination online.

What is the Link Block?

The Link block is the most fundamental building block of any link-in-bio page. Each Link block creates a tappable button that takes visitors to a URL of your choice. Use it to direct traffic to your latest YouTube video, online store, booking page, newsletter sign-up, or any other destination. It works for every type of creator and business, from musicians sharing new releases to coaches promoting their booking page.

How to Add the Link Block to Your Page

  1. Log in to your UniLink Dashboard at unilink.us
  2. Select the page you want to edit
  3. Click the Add Block button (+)
  4. Search for or scroll to find Link
  5. Click to add it to your page

How to Configure the Link Block

Each Link block has several settings that let you control how the button looks and where it sends visitors:

  • Button Label — The text displayed on the button. Keep it short and action-oriented, like "Shop Now" or "Watch My Latest Video."
  • URL — The destination link. You can paste any valid URL including a website, social profile, product page, PDF, or calendar booking link.
  • Icon — Add an icon to the button to visually indicate where it leads, for example a YouTube icon for a video link.
  • Thumbnail Image — Optionally attach a small image to the link button to make it more visually appealing and eye-catching.
  • Button Style — Choose between filled, outlined, or text-only button styles to match your page design.
  • Open in New Tab — Toggle whether the link opens in the same browser tab or a new one. Opening in a new tab keeps visitors on your UniLink page.

Best Practices for the Link Block

  • Use action verbs in your button labels such as "Download," "Book," "Watch," or "Shop" to increase click-through rates.
  • Place your most important link at the top of your page where it is immediately visible without scrolling.
  • Limit your links to the most relevant ones. A focused page with 5 to 8 links performs better than one with 20 or more.
  • Add thumbnail images to product or content links to draw attention and communicate value visually.
  • Use UniLink analytics to track which links get the most clicks and rearrange your page accordingly.
